Review: NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

Hey there πŸ‘‹ I’m back again with another review for you guys, now the title of this post was already so long that I didn’t wanna add the ‘liquid’ part but this post is reviewing the liquid foundation. I also own the powder version & will link it here πŸ‘‰ (coming soon βŒ›οΈ) I’ve had this foundation for just over 7 months now I think, as I bought it in summer 🌞 but to my own surprise I don’t actually use it as much as I thought I would.

– its such a beauty though right 😍

I find that the coverage is very very heavy on this foundation (or maybe I just use too many pumpsπŸ˜…) but even though the foundation is so liquid-like & weightless once I apply it on my face it looks like I caked on 10 layers! πŸ™„ Now, I am fully aware that this could be because of the technique & what I use to apply it… back when I was still in love with Beauty Blenders I used them but ever since I’ve gone off them (find out why here πŸ‘‰Β Time to ditch the Beauty Blender?Β ) I started applying the foundation using my Real Techniques Foundation BrushΒ & then smooth out any fine lines using a triangle cosmetic sponge.

Now onto the technique, with the Beauty Blender I would squirt a few pumps onto the back of my hand, use my finger to dot my face ☝️& then blend onto my skin using the sponge. With the brush, I dip the brush into the foundation on the back of my hand & apply straight to my face – this COULD mean that too much foundation is applied in one location & perhaps I should try changing this technique & going back to the dotting technique! WOW… I might be onto something here! πŸ€” See this is why its so nice to write my thoughts out loud to you guys, I learn something every time haha 😁

Other than this πŸŽ‚ problem I’ve had it is actually such a good foundation to own as part of your collection. It provides amazing coverage which is great for people like me who have lots of acne scarring & blemishes because it really helps conceal them, it also works great on uneven skin-tone so after applying it definitely looks like you have flawless skin✨

As part of their description NARS say:

The Weightless Long-Wear Technology delivers up to 16 hours of wear, while always feeling light-as-air. Featuring advanced flexible polymers and first-to-market treated pigments.

Now for those of you, like me, who don’t know what they mean by ‘advanced flexible polymers’ they’re basically saying this foundation ‘moves with the skin to give breathability & comfort” – sounds so good right? πŸ™Œ & you know what guys I totally stand by this statement. This foundation will literally last you all night, you could apply it on a hot summer day where you’re running up & down in a heavily embellished suit, wearing heels πŸ‘ , carrying toddlers πŸ‘Ά & then when you get home after midnight you’ll see that this beauty did NOT sweat off!!!Β – this must the first foundation which actually did NOT sweat off on my oily skin 😱 – the force is strong with this one πŸ’ͺ

NARS continue to say:

Even Tone Technology is designed to instantly neutralize redness and dullness, while working long-term to reduce the appearance of discoloration for more even, uniform skin.

πŸ‘†this is exactly what I just said – its like they read my mind! ha πŸ˜‹

Through these positives & negatives I love this foundation, its great for events where lots of photos πŸ“Έ will be taken as they willΒ come out looking flawless ✨& don’t even get me started on snapchat filters!… but for everyday make-up its just not for me πŸ™…πŸ». I tend to reach for my Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless FoundationΒ more often.

Hopefully this post was informative & you enjoyed reading it …if you did then don’t forget to ‘like’ down below πŸ‘‡ & follow me for more cool posts! 😁

Love, Kimmiee.
