Review: The Body Shop Vitamin-E Aqua Boost Sorbet

Hey guys I hope you’re all having a good weekend, if you’re not then I’m about to make it better I hope by talking about the amazing Aqua Boost Sorbet from The Body Shop. If you’ve been reading my blogposts over the last couple months you’ll know how much I’ve been loving this moisturiser, I’ve been raving about it at every opportunity & I feel like its finally time I got round to writing a full in dept review for you guys, seeing as I’ve just finished my SECOND tub… so keep on reading if you’re interested!

For those of you who may not be familiar with The Body Shop or haven’t bought any products from there before its basically what I would call a very fresh, sort of edgy, cool brand that has a wide range of skincare & beauty items “Inspired By Nature”. They ethically source their ingredients  & are also COMPLETELY against  animal testing which is amazing . I’ve actually noticed that since I’ve been proper into my skincare & setting up a routine I’ve been falling more & more in love with The Body Shop… so that should tell you something

As I mentioned in my Sephora haul! I just wanted to dedicate this entire year to setting up a good skincare regime & somehow I’ve incorporated a lot of The Body Shop products into it, even if it was a gradual transition, its a transition which happened, mainly because I wanted to get something from the Vitamin-E range. This range is one of their best-selling & these products help protect the skin against environmental pollutions/toxins   as well as UVA/UVB rays , cigarette smoke   & any other factor which can lead to premature aging of the skin! How good does that sound

…yeah I’m not too sure what that means either  but they say it provides hydration that lasts ALL day . This lightweight moisturiser also has hyaluronic acid in it, a natural substance that already exists within the body, but as we get older apparently the levels lower  . Lower levels of hyaluronic acid in the body have a direct impact on how youthful the skin looks , which is why you’ll see a lot of the moisturisers/serums targeted specifically towards maturer skin  contain hyaluronic acid. To keep it short & simple what I THINK this acid does is attracts/retain moisturise, therefore keeping that skin looking youthful & hydrated!

This refreshing and mattifying facial moisturiser with aquasphere technology drenches skin with moisturise for all day hydration. Leaving the skin feeling cooler and softer. Now formulated with plumping hyaluronic acid, wheatgerm oil and vitamin E.

First of all let me start by agreeing to the point that it really does leave the skin feeling softer  …like a baby’s bottom kind of soft & trust me I’m prone to the crocodile back skin texture (as you may have read in my earlier posts) so my skin is in no way flawless. Even then when I apply this moisturiser for those couple hours  after my skin feels SO smooth but I can’t really speak about how long my skin stays feeling soft, seeing as I apply makeup  & that will obvs affect the moisturiser in some way?

In terms of being mattifying, it isn’t the MOST mattifying moisturiser I’ve used, as my Fresh Skincare one is just INSANE , check out my Sephora haul to see which one I’m talking about & make sure to let me know if you’d like to see a review on it below . I think it does a great job on my T-zone in comparison to another high-street matte moisturiser I’ve used though *cough theres a blog post on it cough*  Lets move on, does it make my skin feel refreshed? …I think it does?  but it could be argued that I feel refreshed because of the facial cleanser so I’m not sure, but all I know is that I LOVE THIS moisturiser & after introducing it to my sister she has fallen in love with it too!

vitamin E

I’m not sure if you guys can see the texture clearly  I tried to take a picture of it to show you how different it looks from other moisturisers, but see how it looks sort of grainy? WELL let me tell you they’re NOT grains, cause you don’t feel them at all!  OOO I just had an epiphany  maybe they’re the aqua spheres? Cause I’m guessing an aqua sphere is basically a water bubble? Well whatever those little ball/grains are they’re amazing & I just love this light & FLUFFY moisturiser! Did I mention it absorbs into the skin immediately

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post… If you did then please don’t forget to ‘like’ the post down below  & follow me for more!  Thankyou
